- Death benefits. Some workplace injuries are fatal. If you lost a loved one due to a workplace accident, then you may be able to recover benefits that cover lost income and other expenses.
- Medical and hospital benefits. If you suffer a workplace injury or illness, your employer must cover the medical care.
Additional Types of Work Injury Compensation
In addition to the traditional workers’ compensation system, you may also be able to recover benefits through a third party claim. While you generally cannot file a personal injury lawsuit against your employer, you may be able to file one against a third party.
